Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino 2020 is a Tuscan red made from 100% Sangiovese grown in estate vineyards in southern Montalcino. The vineyards sit above 720 feet on stony, calcareous soils. After careful grape selection, the wine is aged for four years, including two years in oak barrels and barriques, before release at 14.5% ABV.
The bouquet brings together red and black cherries, vanilla, exotic spices, and tobacco. On the palate, the 2020 vintage is soft yet powerful, with a supple texture and a well-balanced structure. Cherry fruit, violet, licorice, and gentle spice lead into a long, persistent finish.
Serve this Brunello with dishes that match its depth and structure. Banfi recommends it alongside red meats, wild game, and aged cheeses, where its fruit, tannins, and oak can complement richer savory flavors. This listing contains one 750ml bottle of Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino 2020 at 14.5% ABV.
