Casey Jones Barrel Strength "White Label" Bourbon is a high-proof, small-batch spirit produced in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. It is the uncut and unfiltered version of the distillery's flagship "Mash Bill 1" bourbon. Produced by Casey Jones Distillery, the spirit is distilled in a unique square copper pot still a design pioneered by the founder's grandfather, a legendary Prohibition-era still maker known for his "coffin" stills. The "White Label" refers specifically to their high-corn, original recipe, which pays homage to the traditional moonshine roots of the region while adhering to strict bourbon standards.
2. Spirit Description
This expression is a corn-forward bourbon, known for its buttery sweetness and heavy mouthfeel.
Mash Bill: Typically follows the distillery's "Mash Bill 1," consisting of 96% corn, 3% rye, and 1% malted barley.
Maturation: Aged for a minimum of 2 to 5 years in new, charred American white oak barrels.
Appearance: A deep golden amber with thick, oily "legs".
Nose: An inviting "party" of aromas including creamed corn, vanilla bean ice cream, and subtle floral notes, followed by hints of almond and crisp pear.
Palate: Exceptionally viscous and velvety. It features dominant flavors of toasted brown sugar, caramel corn, and juicy plums, balanced by a comforting spice of cinnamon toast and molasses.
Finish: Long and warming; it begins with a rush of spicy cinnamon (reminiscent of Big Red gum) and white pepper, before trailing off into a lingering caramel sauce and orange zest.
Technical Details: Bottled at Barrel Strength (uncut), typically ranging between 105 and 115 proof (52.5%–57.5% ABV).
