This concentrated and 'dreamy' red wine originates from Italy, within the Rosso di Montalcino D.O.C. appellation of Tuscany. Founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri, Casanova di Neri is a family owned estate now led by Giacomo Neri and his sons, Giovanni and Gianlorenzo. The winery's philosophy treats the Rosso di Montalcino as a paramount wine, sourcing grapes from dedicated vineyards including 50 year old Brunello vines for the Giovanni Neri cuvée and applying the same meticulous care and attention to detail reserved for their top Brunello bottlings.
Wine Description
Casanova di Neri Rosso di Montalcino presents a beautiful, young, and lively ruby red colour. The sensory profile is highly expressive and fruit focused, featuring a nose of cherries, raspberries, and blackberries layered with floral hints of rose petals, lavender, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and refined, showcasing a core of pure strawberries and cherries underpinned by tactile mineral tones and crisp acidity. It is characterized by its soft, fine grained tannins and a juicy, velvety finish that is more Brunello-like in its concentration and persistent floral perfume.
