Dive into the smoky heart of Islay with Caol Ila 12 Year Reserve Casks Single Malts of Scotland Single Malt Whisky. Distilled in 2010 at the renowned Caol Ila Distillery near Port Askaig, this 96-proof (48% ABV) single malt, bottled in 2022 by Elixir Distillers, is a USA-exclusive release from the Reserve Casks series. A marriage of six re-charred bourbon hogsheads, it’s non-chill filtered, preserving its bold, maritime character. With only a small batch produced, it captures Caol Ila’s signature peat smoke and coastal elegance. Sip it neat to revel in its smoky depth or add a splash of water to soften the peat. Ever tasted an Islay malt this poised?
