Caldwell Long Live the Queen Queen's Sword | Lancero 7x38
Caldwell has been firmly established within the boutique cigar world as one of the foremost leaders of complex blending, and the Long Live the Queen is one of the most ambitious releases in their catalog yet. Rolled at Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic, the Queen's Sword features a smooth, silky Cameroon wrapper over an Indonesian Sumatra binder and long filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, making for a four-country blend that delivers in every draw of this elegant 7x38 Lancero format.
The smoke is sweet and spicy, combining notes of cinnamon and pepper with honey, cedar and graham cracker, before the second half adds dark roast coffee and pure cocoa to the mix, staying medium-bodied and smooth all the way to the nub. Rated 94 points and named the number 14 cigar of 2023, the Queen's Sword is a long, elegant, and surprisingly complex smoke that earns every bit of that recognition.
