BXXLSGDF Purple Sweet Potato Powder (12oz) is a single-ingredient ube powder that adds natural color and a subtly sweet, earthy flavor to drinks, baked goods, and desserts.
If you want a clean, pantry-friendly way to create vivid purple lattes, frostings, batters, and Filipino-inspired sweets, this finely milled purple sweet potato powder delivers both hue and taste without artificial dyes. Packed in a resealable canister, the powder preserves its color and aroma so you can measure, mix, and experiment with confidence.
How will this powder change my everyday recipes?
The powder brightens everything from drinks to baked goods while contributing a gentle sweet-earthy note typical of purple yam. Because it’s concentrated and dry, you can control intensity by adjusting amount and liquid, making it easy to adapt recipes without altering texture dramatically.
- Add 1–2 teaspoons to 12 oz milk or plant-based milk for a vivid ube latte.
- Stir 1–3 tablespoons into frostings, whipped cream, or condensed milk for color and subtle flavor.
- Bake 1–4 tablespoons into doughs, pancakes, or cakes—start small to test potency.
- Create jam or halaya-style spreads by rehydrating and cooking with sugar and fat.
Is this powder easy to use for colorful drinks and baked goods?
Yes—its fine texture dissolves into liquids and blends well into batters and frostings. For smooth results, dissolve the powder first in a small amount of warm liquid, then whisk into the main mixture to avoid clumps and ensure even color distribution.
- Dissolve in warm milk or syrup for uniform color in drinks.
- Sift into dry ingredients to prevent lumps when baking.
- Combine with fats (butter, oil) for richer halaya-style textures.
- Adjust liquid ratios slightly if adding larger amounts to dough or batter.
What makes this a reliable pantry ingredient?
This product contains only purple sweet potato (ube), offering a simple, recognizable ingredient list for label-conscious cooks. The powder comes in a sturdy resealable canister that protects it from moisture and light, helping preserve the vibrant color and fresh flavor between uses.
- Single-ingredient purity: 100% purple sweet potato.
- Resealable canister (12oz/350g) for freshness and ease of use.
- Fine grind for quick dissolution and predictable measuring.
- Suitable for a wide range of sweet and savory recipes.
How should I store and measure the powder for best results?
Keep the canister sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain color and flavor. For consistent results, spoon and level measurements or weigh portions; start with small quantities and increase until you reach the desired color and taste.
- Store sealed at room temperature, away from humidity.
- Use a dry spoon to prevent clumping in the canister.
- Measure by teaspoon or gram for repeatable recipes.
- Rehydrate gradually when making spreads or sauces to control texture.
