Bruichladdich Organic Barley Whisky 2012
Crafted from 100% organically grown Scottish barley, this elegant single malt is a celebration of purity, sustainability, and provenance. Distilled in 2012 and matured in American oak, it expresses Bruichladdich’s ongoing commitment to soil health and environmental stewardship.
Free from peat influence, this whisky allows the natural sweetness and complexity of the organic grain to take centre stage, delivering clarity, texture, and a flavour profile that is both refined and deeply expressive.
- Nose opens with dried hay, malty biscuit, and fresh barley straw. Sweet notes of creme brulee, coconut, vanilla, and butterscotch follow from the oak. Floral highlights and soft dried fruits, apricot and pear add depth.
- On the palate, Bruichladdich Organic Barley Whisky 2012 offers heather honey, warm scones, and marzipan. Peppery spice and creamy malt lead into layers of vanilla, coconut, and sweet oak.
- Finish is long, with lingering almond, butterscotch, and malty richness.
A natural pairing for creamy cheeses, buttery pastries, or roast chicken with herbs. Its clean structure and malty core also complement nutty desserts or fruit tarts. Ideal for whisky drinkers seeking flavour precision with an ethical edge.
