Bowmore x Aston Martin Masters' Selection Edition 3 22 Year Old is an Islay single malt created through Bowmore's collaboration with Aston Martin. This third Masters' Selection release was matured using European oak Oloroso sherry-seasoned casks together with American oak hogsheads, producing a rich, powerful whisky that balances sherried sweetness, mature oak and Bowmore's characteristic peat smoke.
Food Pairing: Pair with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, sticky toffee pudding, aged hard cheeses, or richly glazed roasted meats.
Tasting Notes: Rich and intense, combining complex nutty sherry character with cocoa, dried fruit, muscovado sugar, red berries, oak spice and elegant peat smoke.
Nose: Intense and sweet with lemon peel, poached peach and vanilla, developing into syrupy sweetness, salted toffee, roasted chestnuts and soft leather.
Palate: Rich and concentrated with nutty sherry character, cocoa, dried sultanas, muscovado sugar and red berries, balanced by elegant peat smoke.
Finish: Long and sweet with lingering oak spice, sea salt and gentle smoky character.
