Bouchard Père & Fils, established in 1731, is one of Burgundy’s oldest wine estates, now owned by the Henriot family. With centuries of expertise and access to exceptional terroirs, the house is celebrated for its meticulous viticulture and elegant expressions of Pinot Noir. The Beaune du Château cuvée is unique to the estate, blending grapes from several Premier Cru vineyards exclusively owned by Bouchard.
Wine Description
This Premier Cru Pinot Noir displays a radiant ruby colour. On the nose, it offers lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and subtle violet, interwoven with hints of spice and forest floor. The palate is refined and harmonious, delivering flavours of juicy red berries, fine tannins, and a whisper of oak. Medium-bodied with a persistent, silky finish, the wine shows both elegance and structure.
Food Pairing
Pair this wine with herb-crusted lamb chops, wild mushroom risotto, or roast duck with cherry glaze. This pairing highlights the wine’s depth and character.
