Bottega Lemon Spritz is a ready-to-drink (RTD) sparkling cocktail produced in the Veneto region of Italy. It is crafted by Bottega S.p.a., a family-owned company founded in 1977 by master distiller Aldo Bottega and currently managed by his children Sandro, Barbara, and Stefano. Inspired by the traditional Italian spritz, which dates back to the Habsburg domination in the Lombardo-Veneto Kingdom, this modern version was designed to offer a refreshing, low-alcohol alternative to the classic Bottega Spritz by using a pure lemon infusion instead of limoncello liqueur.
Spirit Description
The cocktail is a blend of Italian white sparkling wine, an infusion of mint, and Sicilian lemons grown using organic farming methods.
-
Colour: The liquid presents a slightly cloudy yellow appearance.
-
Aroma: It features an intense lemon bouquet combined with fresh mint and the fruity notes characteristic of white sparkling wine.
-
Palate: The taste is fresh and full-bodied, delivering citrus fruit and wine flavours with a distinct bitter-sweet balance on the palate.
-
Body: It is characterized by lively, natural bubbles derived directly from the sparkling wine rather than added carbon dioxide.
-
Finish: The experience concludes with a clean, zesty freshness and herbal lift from the mint infusion.
-
ABV: This beverage is bottled at a low alcohol content of 5.4%.
