This premium sparkling wine originates from Italy, specifically within the Veneto region and the high quality subregion of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Bottega is a family run winery with a history dating back to the 17th century, though the modern company was formally established in 1977. The winery's philosophy is rooted in sustainability and the 'Il Vino dei Poeti' range celebrates the prestige of the Valdobbiadene hills, where grapes are grown on steep, hand harvested slopes to ensure maximum aromatic concentration.
Wine Description
The Bottega Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore presents a brilliant straw yellow colour with a fine and persistent perlage. The aroma is refined and complex, featuring primary notes of green apple, pear, and citrus fruits, layered with sophisticated floral scents of acacia, wisteria, and lily of the valley. On the palate, the wine is elegant and harmonious, offering a soft mouthfeel in the Extra Dry style or a crisp, mineral driven texture in the Brut expression. It is a light to medium bodied wine with a fresh, balanced finish that echoes the floral and fruity notes found on the nose. This 100% Glera wine typically has an ABV of 11.5%. While Bottega adheres to many eco friendly practices, this specific bottling is not certified as organic.
