Frankenbones is a chocolate-and-hazelnut flavored medium-roast Arabica coffee from Bones Coffee Company, crafted for low-acidity drinking and compatible with auto-drip and French press brewing.
This 12-ounce bag of Frankenbones blends Brazilian-sourced Arabica beans with natural chocolate and hazelnut notes, roasted in small batches and packaged in a resealable bag to lock in freshness. Designed for people who want a dessert-like cup without added sugar or dairy, it’s offered as whole beans or pre-ground for auto-drip machines; whole beans can be ground to suit French press, pour-over, or cold brew methods. The roast profile emphasizes smoothness and reduced acidity, making it a comfortable choice for those who prefer gentler coffee on the palate.
How does Frankenbones deliver chocolate and hazelnut flavor without added sugar?
The flavor comes from carefully blended natural flavorings applied to high-quality Arabica beans during the roasting process, not from dairy or sweeteners. You get pronounced dessert-like notes while retaining a dry, coffee-forward finish. This keeps the cup keto- and vegan-friendly.
- Natural chocolate and hazelnut flavoring infused into whole beans
- No dairy, no added sugar, and negligible carbs
- Medium roast balance preserves aroma and flavor clarity
- Low-acid profile for a smoother mouthfeel
What brewing methods work best with this medium roast?
Frankenbones is versatile: pre-ground coffee is optimized for auto-drip machines, while whole beans are better ground fresh for manual methods. Grind coarser for French press, medium-fine for pour-over, and finer for faster extractions. Adjust grind and brew time to emphasize chocolate or hazelnut notes.
- Auto-drip: use the included ground for consistent daily brewing
- French press: coarse grind to enhance body and nutty aroma
- Pour-over: medium grind to reveal brighter flavor layers
- Cold brew: coarse grind and long steep for mellow sweetness
What makes this bag fresh and ethically produced?
Bones Coffee Company roasts Frankenbones in small batches to ensure recent roast dates and consistent flavor. Beans are sourced from Brazilian farms and roasted and packaged in the USA, then sealed in a resealable bag to help retain aroma. The approach prioritizes traceability and freshness over mass production.
- Brazilian Arabica beans selected for balanced taste
- Small-batch roasting to preserve aromatic compounds
- Resealable packaging maintains freshness after opening
- Roasted and packed in the USA for quality control
