Bluestem Botanicals Organic Lemongrass Simple Syrup is an 8 oz, plant-forward liquid sweetener that adds bright, citrusy lemongrass flavor to cocktails, mocktails, teas, and culinary recipes.
Made by Bluestem Botanicals, this organic lemongrass simple syrup is crafted to bring a fresh, aromatic citrus-herbal note to beverages and food. It blends sugar and lemongrass extract into an easy-to-use syrup that dissolves quickly in cold or hot liquids, making it suitable for home bartenders, cafe operators, and creative cooks who want a reliable, herb-forward sweetener without chopping or steeping herbs themselves.
How does this syrup change my cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks?
The lemongrass syrup adds a lively citrus-herbal layer that brightens drinks without overpowering other ingredients. Because it’s a ready-made syrup, it integrates evenly, giving consistent flavor and sweetness with each pour.
- Adds a clean, lemony-herb note that complements gin, rum, vodka, and tequila.
- Dissolves in iced drinks and hot teas for immediate flavor lift.
- Makes bartending faster by replacing fresh infusion or muddling for lemongrass.
What practical uses does lemongrass syrup have beyond cocktails?
Beyond mixed drinks, the syrup works as a quick flavoring agent for beverages and recipes where lemongrass would otherwise require time-consuming prep. It’s a versatile pantry item for cooks who want consistent herb flavor in both sweet and savory applications.
- Sweeten iced tea, lattes, lemonades, and mocktails with herbal brightness.
- Stir into syrups for baking, glaze roasted vegetables, or use in quick pickling.
- Finish soups or marinades with a balanced citrus-herb accent without adding liquid bulk.
How should I store and measure the syrup for best results?
Store the unopened bottle in a cool, dry place and refrigerate after opening to preserve freshness. For most cocktails, start with a small measure and adjust — the syrup is concentrated, so a little goes a long way.
- Refrigerate after opening and consume within the recommended freshness window.
- Begin with 1/4 to 1/2 ounce in cocktails; increase to taste for bolder lemongrass notes.
- Shake or stir well before using to ensure an even texture and flavor distribution.
