Brace yourself for a bourbon that doesn’t ask permission. Bluegrass Distillers High Rye Cask Strength Single Barrel amps everything up—spice, heat, oak—and lets the rye shine through. This is bourbon distilled with intention: 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley, aged in Kentucky, then bottled straight from one barrel at full power. The aroma hits first: raw oak, toasted grains, warm caramel, and a blast of cracked black pepper. When you sip, expect cinnamon heat, fruit-cake fruit, chocolate undertones, and vivacious rye spice dancing across the palate. Finish is long, fiery, and unapologetically bold—oak char, drying tannins, lingering warmth. For those seeking bourbon with backbone and character, this Single Barrel gives it in spades.
