BK Wines' Swaby Chardonnay is a distinctive, single-vineyard Adelaide Hills wine known for its complex, often quirky, and always superlative character. It's described as a "god-tier" wine with notes of savory spice, saline acidity, and rich texture. Specific descriptors include spicy pear, dried lime, bitters, and layered oak. It's also characterized by mineral and citrus notes, such as grapefruit pith, lime curd, and sea salt. The 2023 vintage is described as "forthright and clear," with flavors of lime pith, candied fruit, and a spritz of quince oil, along with a hint of sherbert-powder sweetness. The palate features juicy fleshy pear and cardamom pod flavors, with a refreshing acidic cut.
