Introduction
BIBI Bitter Aperitivo Soda is a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage from Canada, specifically originating from Toronto, Ontario. Produced by 361 Degrees Inc., the brand was developed as a lighter, more refreshing take on classic Italian 'rosso-amaro' bitters. BIBI is crafted using high-quality botanical extracts and natural flavours sourced from an artisan flavour house in Italy with over 80 years of history, known for producing world-class chinotto sodas.
Wine Description
This sparkling soda presents a vibrant, classic red colour characteristic of traditional Italian aperitifs. The nose is complex and layered, featuring an aromatic infusion of blood orange, bittersweet herbs, spices, and selected roots. On the palate, it is medium-weight and light, offering a fresh, bright citrusy profile that is significantly less syrupy and sweet than typical bitters. The drink finds a fine balance between citrus zest, herbal bitterness, and the gentle sweetness of cane sugar, finishing with a crisp and refreshing dryness. It is made with carbonated water, cane sugar, quinine, and natural fruit extracts, and it contains no preservatives or artificial colours. This beverage has 0% ABV, is vegan-friendly and gluten-free, and contains 70 calories and 18 g of sugar per 237 ml can. It is not a certified organic product. While intended to be enjoyed fresh, it is best served well-chilled on its own with ice or used as a versatile cocktail mixer.
