This exceptional red wine originates from the United States, specifically from the Ribbon Ridge AVA, a highly regarded subregion within Oregon's Willamette Valley. Founded by John and Karen Bergström in 1999, Bergström Wines is a family-led estate dedicated to artisan winemaking, now directed by their son, Josh Bergström, who trained in Burgundy. The 'La Spirale' estate vineyard, acquired by the family in 2018, is a beautifully positioned 22 acre southwest facing slope featuring a complex patchwork of more than 14 distinct marine sedimentary soil types. The winery treats this land with deep respect, following a philosophy of non-certified biodynamic and regenerative-ecological farming to coax a pure, ethereal expression of the local terroir.
