Introduction:
Basil Hayden Toast is a refined, approachable, and beautifully layered bourbon that invites meaningful moments and conversation. Crafted with a unique mashbill that replaces rye with brown rice, this expression delivers a softer spice and deeper sweetness, all elevated by a secondary aging in toasted and flash-charred oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
-
Aroma: Warm notes of toasted oak balanced with dried fruit and caramelized sugar.
-
Palate: Smooth and light, featuring flavours of toasted wood, vanilla, and gentle complexity.
-
Finish: A lingering hint of sweet caramel.
Pairing Suggestions:
Perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks, Basil Hayden Toast also shines in classic bourbon cocktails like an Old Fashioned or Boulevardier. Pair with dark chocolate, grilled meats, or roasted nuts for a warm, satisfying experience.
