Baron De Sigognac 1985 Vintage Armagnac
This vintage Armagnac is an exceptional gift, produced by the Guasch family at Chateau de Bordeneuve in Bas Armagnac. This historic estate manages 42 hectares of vineyards dedicated to crafting authentic Armagnac using traditional methods.
The spirit is distilled in copper alembic stills from carefully selected grapes grown in the region’s sandy soils. It then matures for decades in French oak barrels within ancient cellars, ensuring depth and character shaped by time and heritage.
- Aromas reveal roasted almonds and candied citrus fruit, creating an inviting and distinctive bouquet.
- The palate offers rich rancio character with toasted wood and layers of complexity.
- The finish is smooth and lingering, balancing fruit and oak with refined elegance.
Pairs beautifully with dark chocolate desserts or enjoyed neat alongside a fine cigar.
