Baron De Sigognac 1976 Vintage Armagnac
A distinguished, single-year release from the heart of Bas-Armagnac, offering a rare opportunity to experience the character of a mature spirit shaped by time and tradition. Produced under the careful guidance of the Guasch family, this vintage reflects both the individuality of the 1976 harvest and the house’s commitment to traditional, estate-led production.
Extended ageing in Gascon oak has allowed the spirit to develop remarkable depth, refinement and balance. Now fully mature, it delivers a composed and complex profile suited to collectors, connoisseurs, or as a meaningful vintage gift.
- Deep amber with mahogany highlights, showing the depth of long cask ageing. Complex and evolved, with layers of dried fruits, orange peel and subtle spice. Notes of toasted oak, vanilla and a gentle nuttiness add further dimension.
- Smooth and well-integrated, offering flavours of candied fruit, prunes and soft caramel. Oak influence is evident but balanced, bringing structure without overwhelming the fruit.
- Long and warming, with lingering spice, dried fruit and a refined oak character.
Best enjoyed neat, allowing time in the glass for its full aromatic range to unfold.
