Introduction:
Badel Hrvatska Stara Šljivovica is a signature plum brandy crafted from the autochthonous Bistrica plum, making it a cult favourite and best-selling traditional spirit in the region. Rooted in centuries of Mediterranean tradition, this brandy delivers a rich, authentic taste shaped by time-honoured practices.
Tasting Notes:
-
Aroma: Subtle notes of vanilla and ripe plum, complemented by a hint of oak and a gently bitter bouquet.
-
Palate: Supple, fruity, and well-balanced, with smooth layers of plum sweetness and a touch of spice.
-
Finish: Elegant and refined, with a lingering warmth and soft oak character.
Crafted to Perfection:
Made from Bristrica plums ripened under the Mediterranean sun, only the finest fruit is harvested at peak maturity. The brandy is then aged for at least 12 months in large oak barrels, where it develops its amber hue, rounded flavor, and distinct aromatic profile.
Pairing Suggestions:
Best enjoyed neat, served at room temperature, or paired with smoked meats, aged cheeses, or traditional desserts.
