Bache-Gabrielsen BGW Single Malt Tourbé is a peated French single malt whisky produced by Maison Bache-Gabrielsen in Cognac, France. Made from French barley, this expression combines the house’s whisky-making approach with a distinctly smoky and peaty character while retaining fruit, malt and oak notes.
Food Pairing:Pairs well with smoked salmon, grilled meats, charcuterie, mature cheeses, roasted nuts and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes:A peated French single malt with a balance of smoke, malt, fruit and oak, offering a richer and smokier profile than Bache-Gabrielsen’s standard single malt.
Nose:Peat smoke and toasted malt accompanied by fruity and lightly woody aromas.
Palate:Smoky and rounded, with malt, fruit and oak complemented by warming peat.
Finish:Lingering and smoky with persistent malt and gentle woody notes.
Serve:Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open the smoky and aromatic character.
