Introduction:
Bacardi Reserva Ocho is a rare dark rum inspired by a family recipe from 1862, originally crafted as The Family Reserve. Aged for a minimum of eight years, this exceptional rum delivers deep complexity, elegant smoothness, and a finish that reflects its time in both oak barrels and sherry casks.
Tasting Notes:
-
Nose: Rich aromas of dried apricot and banana leaf.
-
Palate: Layers of oak, warming spices, and hints of sherry cask richness.
-
Finish: Expansive, well-rounded, and smooth, with lingering notes of stone fruits and vanilla.
Pairing Suggestions:
Best enjoyed neat or in elevated classics like the Ocho Old Fashioned. Pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, caramel desserts, or smoked meats.
