Listing description along with food pairing: Aultmore 15 Dry Marsala Cask Finish is an elegant, limited-edition Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that showcases a sophisticated, savory twist on the distillery's signature crisp and herbal style. Part of a specialized Marsala Wine Cask Collection overseen by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod, this expression is first matured for 15 years in refill American oak hogsheads before undergoing a six-month finish in vintage Marsala Vergine Riserva Oro casks—the driest and most complex style of the iconic Sicilian fortified wine. The dry, oxidative wine casks impart a structured maturation, overlaying Aultmore's grassy, fresh orchard fruit character with nuanced layers of baked apples, tangy quince, roasted almonds, and gentle clove spice, leading into a refined, bittersweet finish reminiscent of high-quality dark chocolate. It is bottled with its natural color and without chill filtration.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted pork loin with a spiced apple chutney, cured meats like prosciutto or bresaola, toasted hazelnuts, or a piece of rich, high-percentage dark chocolate.
