Auchentoshan 12 Year Old is a quintessential Lowland single malt from one of Scotland's most distinctive distilleries, located on the outskirts of Glasgow. What sets Auchentoshan apart from virtually every other Scotch distillery is its commitment to triple distillation — a rare process that produces an exceptionally smooth, light, and approachable spirit with a delicacy that is uniquely its own.
Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks, the 12 Year Old strikes a beautiful balance between the clean, citrus-driven character of the triple-distilled spirit and the warmth and richness that sherry maturation brings. The nose is elegant and inviting — fresh grapefruit, lemon zest, and vanilla lead, with a gentle undercurrent of toffee and toasted almond. On the palate, it's silky and refined: orange marmalade, milk chocolate, soft caramel, and a hint of dried fruit unfold with a lightness that makes it endlessly sippable. The finish is clean, medium-length, and gently warming, with a pleasant sweetness that fades gracefully.
The perfect gateway into Lowland Scotch — and a reliable, elegant everyday dram for any occasion.
