Selected Tobacco S.A., the Cuban heritage operation founded by Nelson Alfonso, has produced some of the most sought after limited releases in the premium cigar world. Known for its meticulous attention to detail and uncompromising standards, the company has built a reputation for creating cigars that blur the line between luxury product and collectible art. Named after the supreme deity in Taíno mythology, Atabey stands as the flagship of the portfolio, with the Atabey Black line representing the pinnacle of what the company is capable of achieving.
The Atabey Black Delirios is a 5¾ x 55 Double Robusto handcrafted at Tabacos de Costa Rica using a blend of Dominican and Peruvian binder and filler tobaccos beneath a beautiful Ecuadorian wrapper. What truly separates this cigar from nearly everything else on the market is the aging process that follows production. After rolling, each cigar is aged for five years in rooms lined with both cedar and French oak in Spain, imparting an extraordinary level of depth, refinement, and complexity that cannot be replicated through conventional aging methods.
The result is a luxurious full bodied profile layered with notes of dark leather, espresso, toasted cedar, dried fruit, and a warm oak finish that lingers long after the final draw. Rich and powerful yet remarkably elegant, the Black Delirios showcases impeccable balance and sophistication throughout the smoking experience.
The presentation is every bit as impressive as the cigar itself. Each individually numbered box doubles as a fully functional travel humidor, wrapped in premium leather with elegant gold trim. Inside, a built in temperature gauge and humidity control system ensure your cigars remain in perfect condition wherever your travels take you. Limited to just 1,500 numbered humidors worldwide, each containing ten cigars, this release is as collectible as it is exceptional.
The Atabey Black Delirios is more than a cigar. It is one of the most complete luxury smoking experiences ever assembled, combining rare craftsmanship, meticulous aging, and uncompromising presentation into a release destined for the world's most discerning enthusiasts.
