Produced in Chile, this wine hails from the coastal Chilhué Vineyard within the Aconcagua Costa subregion of the Aconcagua Valley. Viña Arboleda was founded in 1999 by Eduardo Chadwick, a fifth-generation vintner who also co-founded the iconic Seña estate. The winery's name, meaning 'a grove of trees', serves as a tribute to the 1,450 hectares of native forest that surround and protect the sustainably managed, single-vineyard sites.
Wine Description
This Sauvignon Blanc presents a bright straw yellow colour with silver glints. The nose is highly aromatic, offering herbal notes of tomato leaf and lemongrass alongside citrus zest, passion fruit, and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is refreshingly crisp and linear, featuring a citrus profile of grapefruit and tangerine balanced by green apple and a distinct flinty minerality. It possesses a medium body with a creamy texture and a persistent, saline finish that reflects its maritime origin.
Food Pairing
The wine's vibrant acidity and herbal undertones make it an ideal companion for fresh seafood, particularly oysters on the half shell, ceviche, or grilled white fish with a citrus glaze. It also pairs beautifully with tangy goat cheese salads, asparagus, and dishes featuring fresh pesto or cilantro.
