Tasting notes: Macadamia, Honeydew Melon
El Socorro is a Guatemalan farm in Palencia led by third-generation producer Diego De La Cerda, who has managed it for the past 15 years. During that time, the farm expanded the varieties it grows and developed more consistent and distinctive production methods.
This February 2025 harvest is a washed Yellow Bourbon grown at 1,800 metres and received by April in September 2025. El Socorro uses hot water after milling to accelerate fermentation, and April describes the resulting coffee as sweet, delicate, and complex, with macadamia and honeydew melon notes.
