Some rums are made. This one is curated. Appleton Estate Rare Casks 12 Year is the vision of Master Blender Joy Spence — a meticulous selection of hand-chosen pot and column still rums, each aged a minimum of 12 years in the lush tropical heat of Jamaica's Nassau Valley. The result is a rum of uncommon depth and elegance, shaped by limestone-filtered water and decades of craft.
The nose is inviting and complex: dark dried fruits, warm baking spices, and a whisper of toasted oak. On the palate, rich layers of toffee, orange zest, and ripe stone fruit emerge, carried by a velvety texture that speaks to its extended aging. The finish is long, warm, and satisfying — a hallmark of truly rare casks.
