Alessandro Rivetto Matirè Langhe Arneis 2024 is a crisp, bright, and wonderfully expressive Italian white wine that beautifully captures the vibrant personality of Piedmont’s signature native white grape. Sourced from choice hillside vineyards across the Langhe, this 100% Arneis undergoes a brief cold maceration on the skins for about 30 hours to maximize its aromatic intensity before being fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel tanks. It pours a brilliant pale straw-yellow color with youthfully clear greenish reflections. The nose is delicate yet wonderfully giving, opening with an inviting bouquet of fresh citrus blossom, white peach, and green apple, layered with bright notes of lemon zest and subtle wild herbs. On the palate, this medium-bodied selection delivers a dry, refreshing energy, seamlessly balancing a soft, rounded orchard-fruit core with a lively sapidity and a clear mineral backbone. It drives through to a clean, persistent finish that leaves behind a classic, pleasantly appetizing whisper of bitter almond skin.
Food Pairing: This highly refreshing white makes for an excellent aperitif on its own, and pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fresh seafood salads, grilled sea bass, spaghetti alle vongole (clams), or light chicken breast wraps.
