Introduction
Agnes Paquet Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2023 is a red wine from the Burgundy region of France. The estate was founded in 2000 by Agnes Paquet, who reclaimed family vineyards that had been rented to other growers since the 1950s. Her winemaking philosophy focuses on minimal intervention and a 'deft touch' to allow the terroir to speak, emphasizing fruit forward profiles and soaring levels of drinkability.
Wine Description
This wine exhibits a brilliant ruby colour with streaks of garnet throughout. The sensory profile features a nose of vibrant red berry and floral aromas. On the palate, it is sleek and racy with a soft mouthfeel and piquant flavours of red cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, leading into an invigorating finish. The varietal composition is 100% Pinot Noir, specifically sourced from the 'Les Croquamots' plot in Pommard. Stylistically, it is noted for its elegance, savoury character, and a balance of right weight and acid. The wine typically has an ABV of 12.5%. It is certified organic by Ecocert as of the 2022 vintage.
