Nicaragua’s Agricola Ganadera Nortena S.A. or AGANORSA is a large tobacco-growing operation run by the storied Fernandez family of Casa Fernandez cigars fame. The most exquisite tobaccos offered by the enterprise have become known as the Aganorsa leaf, which is found in the heart of the Fernandez family’s top smokes. The leaf is such a huge part of the Fernandez legacy that the family renamed the Casa Fernandez brand Aganorsa Leaf. To experience the Aganorsa difference, just fire up a voluptuous Aganorsa Leaf Signature Maduro Robusto.
The Aganorsa Leaf Signature Maduro blend showcases a dark, shade grown Corojo 99 Maduro wrapper from Jalapa. The leaf is draped over extra-aged Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, including bold and rare Medio Tiempo leaves. These rich Aganorsa tobaccos combine to make for a drool-inducing 5” x 52 Robusto that is just begging to be smoked.
You don’t have to wait long to get to the tasty goodies hidden in this beauty. A few puffs in, and savory pepper and earth notes leap out of the smoke, with dark chocolate, leather, and espresso not far behind. Subtle cedary and earthy components keep the full-flavored exercise grounded, leading to a robust yet perfectly balanced finish.
The Aganorsa Leaf Signature Maduro Robusto is a dreamy smoke with a big, bold taste and rich yet smooth body. The Fernandez family and the folks at Aganorsa Leaf struck gold with the Signature Corojo series, and they’ve certainly done it again with the Signature Maduro. So, treat yourself to these winning, extremely limited Nicaraguan Puros while they’re still available.
