Eduardo Fernandez and his family first offered cigars under the Casa Fernandez brand, but now the cigars take the name of the family’s tobacco conglomerate in Nicaragua and the tobaccos for which it famously offers: Aganorsa Leaf. One of the carryovers that emerged as a top crowd-pleaser is a robust, smooth, and complex Nicaraguan Puro blend for the ages, now dubbed the Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Corojo.
The Aniversario Corojo Gran Robusto is a 5” x 54 nugget with a core of Aganorsa Leaf binder and fillers that carry a distinctive bold character and taste thanks to Nicaragua’s rich volcanic earth and ideal tobacco-growing climate. An Aganorsa Leaf Corojo wrapper is added, and the cigars are given a soft box press as a finishing touch.
Fire up the tantalizing Gran Robusto and savor wave after wave of natural tobacco notes, which open the way for sophisticated medium-to-full-bodied smoke. Earthy and cedary nuances are front and center, with hints of pepper, cocoa, and coffee gradually taking over. Touches of cream and tropical berries add sweetness to a rich, involved finale.
The Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Corojo Gran Robusto is a beautifully assembled smoke that appeals to Nicaraguan tobacco fans and discerning connoisseurs searching for a new breed of smoke. A great after-dinner choice that will deliver over an hour of deliciousness and complexity.
