AG Cigars is the brainchild of Alex Gutierrez, a cigar maker whose deep roots in Cuban tobacco tradition inform every blend he creates. The Ambassador is part of the Nuevo Reino collection, Alex's first foray into New World tobaccos after years of working exclusively with Cuban and Cuban seed leaf. The result is something that bridges both worlds, a cigar with the presentation and elegance of an Old World release and the complexity of the finest Ecuadorian and Dominican tobaccos available today.
The 3-4-3 vitola, a 7 x 52 figurado with a pointed head, is one of the most celebrated formats in Cuban cigar history, demanding exceptional rolling skill and rewarding the smoker with a concentrated, evolving draw that opens gradually as the cigar burns down. The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper brings immediate visual presence, naturally oily, rich in color, and silky to the touch. Beneath it, a Dominican binder and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers deliver a complex mild to medium profile that unfolds beautifully from first light to the final third.
Expect floral aromas, toasted nuts, cream, mild spice, a hint of citrus, and a gentle woodiness that lingers on the finish. This is a sophisticated, nuanced cigar built for the enthusiast who appreciates craftsmanship as much as flavor.
