This whisky delivers a pleasing balance of fruit-sweetness and mellow sherry richness, making it an excellent choice for daily enjoyment—or for those stepping from standard expressions into something more refined without going to ultra-aged price tiers.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Hailing from the Speyside region of Scotland, the distillery behind this whisky matures the spirit first in traditional American oak (ex-bourbon) casks, and then further in seasoned sherry (Spanish oak) butts. The “Double Cask Matured” name reflects this dual-cask approach. The age statement is twelve years. The distiller has selected this cask regimen to soften the crisply youthful spirit and add depth and warmth through the sherry influence.
