Just in! The final international wine competition of 2021 has awarded this wine a Triple Gold Medal on its way to a "Best of Class" designation!
You will be mesmerized by this intensely tropical Chilean white wine blend. This Sauvignon Blanc-dominant wine is full of exotic fruit flavor with peppy acidity that will leave you feeling refreshed. A delicious creation such as this is common to find in Chile, especially in the Maule Valley. This sub-region of the Central Valley is home to well-drained, fertile land composed of loam mixed with alluvial soil types. It also has cooler temperatures than the surrounding areas. This allows ripening Sauvignon Blanc grapes to advance into the realm of warm climate, tropical fruit flavors without losing their refreshing acidity. Chardonnay is another popular grape that finds success here and follows a similar ripening progression as Sauvignon Blanc, in which the warmer the climate, the more exotic the flavors. Its presence in this blend adds a bit more weight and texture, which increases the overall complexity of the wine. The result is a fruit-forward, balanced white that showcases Chilean terroir.
