1924 Double Black Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon is an exceptionally robust, full-bodied, and deeply expressive California red wine crafted as a bold tribute to the grit and ingenuity of the Prohibition era. Sourced from select, sun-drenched vineyards across the warm Lodi region, this deeply saturated dark ruby wine uncoils with an enticing, highly aromatic bouquet of ripe blackberries, black currant compote, and black figs, seamlessly layered with complex undercurrents of molasses, sweet spices, and vanilla cream soda. On the palate, it delivers a rich, mouth-filling, and concentrated framework where a succulent core of candied dark fruits and spiced dark chocolate is effortlessly elevated by a distinct bourbon-barrel imprint, introducing sophisticated notes of toasted oak, burnt caramel, truffle honey, and warm butterscotch. Structured with exceptionally plush, supple tannins and well-integrated acidity, it glides into a long, remarkably smooth, and sweet-toned finish that brings power and approachable warmth together in perfect harmony.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with sweet or smoky barbecue dishes, bacon-wrapped filet mignon served with maple pecan sweet potatoes, or pecan-smoked beef tenderloin.
