Originating from Australia in the South Eastern Australia wine region, 19 Crimes Pinot Noir represents an accessible, fruit-driven, and bold expression of classic Australian Pinot Noir. Inspired by the rebellious history of British convicts banished to Australia in the 18th and 19th centuries, the 19 Crimes brand celebrates those who breached 19 specific crimes with exile rather than death, forging a new culture and legacy down under. Sourced from choice vineyard sites planted across South Eastern Australia, the winemaking philosophy focuses on gentle temperature-controlled fermentation, partial oak contact, and careful blending to achieve soft tannins, generous red berry fruit, and signature approachable style.
Wine Description
The wine presents a clear, bright dark ruby red colour with soft crimson reflections along the rim. An expressive, fruit-forward bouquet opens with appealing aromas of ripe red cherry, wild strawberry, red plum, and raspberry jam, interwoven with warm notes of sweet vanilla, dark chocolate, toasted oak spice, and subtle clove. On the palate, it is medium bodied, smooth, and supple, delivering generous flavours of juicy red berries, cherry pie, and sweet oak spices, all supported by a gentle, soft core of natural acidity. Framed by smooth, velvety tannins and a rounded mid-palate, it concludes with a warm, lingering finish marked by sweet red fruit, vanilla, and gentle toasted spice. Composed primarily of Pinot Noir, it combines rich fruit warmth and lush accessibility with effortless, easy-drinking charm.
