100% Maui Yellow Caturra Coffee
Roast Level: Medium
A true 100% Maui coffee with a history worth bringing back. After being unavailable to CoffeeAM for several years, Maui Yellow Caturra is back—fresh roasted using CoffeeAM's current roasting methods to bring out the distinctive character of this unique Hawaiian-grown varietal.
Grown on the Kaanapali Estate on the island of Maui, Yellow Caturra is a distinctive coffee variety known for producing yellow coffee cherries when ripe rather than the more common red cherries. The warm, dry growing conditions of West Maui help this varietal thrive, producing a smooth, clean cup with a gentle flavor, lower acidity and subtle spicy notes.
Medium roasted by CoffeeAM, Maui Yellow Caturra offers a balanced combination of smooth body and delicate spice, with hints reminiscent of cinnamon and allspice. It is an approachable Hawaiian coffee with enough character to make every cup interesting without overpowering the natural qualities of the bean.
Like all CoffeeAM coffees, your Maui Yellow Caturra is 100% Arabica and roasted fresh to order, then shipped directly to your door. If you enjoy Hawaiian coffee and want to try something different from the traditional Kona profile, this unique Maui-grown varietal is one worth discovering.
